Gloria Durham - Publisher/Managing Editor
Gloria Durham was born in Newark, NJ attended East Orange High School and continued her education at Montclair State University, Raritan Community College and Centenary College. She is a mother of two daughters, a proud grandmother to Imani Bonds and Laila Griffin. She is the former founder of a non-profit agency (MAVIS) Mothers Against Violent Incidence and Suicides which purpose was to support families suffering from violent acts and reduce the number of suicide attempts to youth. She is also the current owner of a staffing firm Genesis Staffing Services dba Genesis Health care Solutions based in New Jersey. Gloria launched her business in 2004 after being downsized from a fortune 500 company in New Jersey. As a dedicated entrepreneur she expanded her business in 2006 to the States of New York, Virginia and Georgia. Most recently, during challenging times, she partnered with other staffing firms furthering her business to a global level in training and consulting services. In 2008, being lead by the spirit following another passion, Gloria decided to launch The Guardian Connection magazine as a new venture to educate and inform readers on how to cope and overcome issues facing their everyday lives. Gloria is a poet, lyricist, psalmist, writer, networker, planner, organizer, community activist and has a strong desire to positively impact the lives of those she meets and interacts.
